    Hi Friends,

I'm a "new guy in (DNN) town" and I would like to know how do I change the header pictures of the Skin.

    I'm using DNN 5 and I downloaded XD5NewDesignAway.

Second question, Is there any way I can see the panels border durring design time?

    Thanks,
    Lee.

Look in the skin folder under the /pix/ folder for PortalSiteBanner.jpg and change that.

You have to click 'layout' to show the panes - stupid I think but that's the case I'm afraid these days.  You used to be able to see it in 'edit' mode on earlier versions but now, it's gone, and only visible without content in the 'layout' mode.

I think it's a big mistake, but such is life.

Sort of on the same note, I guess...

Say I have an existing theme (downloaded and installed) and I want to change graphic elements in it, like the top banner. How can I do that? Is it as easy as locating and opening the .png image and alter it in PShop, or do I need to REcompile the .zip and install it, again?

Anthony - it is as easy as you said - simply change the graphics that is in the folder. re upload via ftp and it's done. Or, if you want you can use the file manager and navigate to the skin file and upload that way.

What makes it a bit more trickier would be if you wanted to change the size of the file that was managed by css - you would then need to change the css file, and if necessary, change the elements in the ascx file.
